1 Person Dead in Dallas Pedestrian Accident on 3700 South RL Thornton Freeway

DALLAS, TX (December 14, 2023) – Tuesday night, a tragic pedestrian crash on 3700 South RL Thornton Freeway killed one person.

The incident started at around 6:45 p.m. when two vehicles collided for still unknown reasons in the 3700 block of South RL Thornton Freeway.

According to the Dallas Police, one of the drivers climbed onto the hood of the other vehicle to leave but fell into the middle lane of traffic. Then, a northbound U-Haul truck struck the male driver.

As a result, paramedics rushed the victim to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the driver of the U-Haul did not stop, and the other driver involved in the first crash called 911 after the incident.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Dallas Police continued to investigate the crash.
