The incident happened at around 6:14 p.m. in the 100 block of Industrial Boulevard.

According to the Chula Vista Police, a Toyota Camry struck a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway outside a marked crosswalk.

Moreover, paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Furthermore, the 44-year-old driver of the Camry remained at the scene and was not suspected of impairment.
