SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (July 17, 2023) – Sunday morning, a tragic multi-vehicle crash on 5 Freeway near 605 Freeway killed three people.

The incident happened at around 2:22 a.m. on the northbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway, south of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Moses Marroquin, the collision involved multiple vehicles.

Moreover, responders pronounced two men and a woman, all from one vehicle, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, the crash closed lanes 2, 3, and 4 of the northbound Santa Ana Freeway just south of the San Gabriel River Freeway.
