1 Person Dead in East County Motorcycle Accident on La Cresta Road near Coyote Ridge Lane

EAST COUNTY, CA (April 10, 2024) – Monday afternoon, a tragic motorcycle crash on La Cresta Road near Coyote Ridge Lane killed one person.

The incident happened at around 5:10 p.m. on La Cresta Road, west of Coyote Ridge Lane.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Jared Grieshaber, a Yamaha motorcycle collided with a Kia Forte that turned left from a driveway.

Moreover, responders rushed the 53-year-old motorcyclist to a hospital where the motorcyclist was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
