PHOENIX, AZ (September 23, 2024) – Sunday morning, a tragic motorcycle crash on Interstate 10 near 39th Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened on Interstate 10, near the 39th Avenue overpass.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a car traveling at a high rate of speed struck a motorcyclist. It continued traveling before it came to rest and erupted into flames.

Moreover, responders rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital where the patients were later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, officers arrested the driver of the car on suspicion of impairment.

Meanwhile, the crash closed eastbound Interstate 10 but has long since reopened.
