1 Dead in Bakersfield Motorcycle Accident on Highway 99 and Wilson Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 21, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a tragic motorcycle crash on Highway 99 and Wilson Road killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 4:37 a.m. on southbound Highway 99 and Wilson Road.

According to CHP officers, a 21-year-old riding a Yamaha FZ6R motorcycle lost control. Then, he was thrown off his motorcycle on southbound Highway 99 just south of Wilson Road. Then, other vehicles hit him.

As a result, the motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene.

Furthermore, the authorities haven’t determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
