PHOENIX, AZ (June 4, 2023) – Friday morning, a tragic motorcycle crash near Northern Avenue and 27th Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 1:30 a.m. near Northern Avenue and 27th Avenue.

According to Sgt. Brian Bower with Phoenix Police, a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed collided with an SUV. Also, authorities said that the SUV turned in front of the motorcycle when the collision occurred.

Moreover, responders pronounced the motorcyclist, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the female driver of the SUV to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed Northern Avenue between 28th and 31st Avenue.

At this time, the circumstances involved in the crash remained unclear. When additional information became available, the public will be notified.
