San Jose, CA (July 8, 2023) On Friday, a woman pushing a shopping cart was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Story Road.

According to the San Jose Police Department (SJPD), the fatal hit-and-run accident happened in the area of Story Road and South White Road in San Jose.

Reports say that a vehicle struck an adult female pedestrian walking outside a crosswalk. The suspect vehicle fled the scene after the crash. Meanwhile, another vehicle struck the woman, however, the driver of the 2nd vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with officials.

SJPD is searching for the first driver who struck the woman, officials say that the was headed south on White Road.
