Suspect in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash Near Cerro Gordo Street At Large

Mojave, CA (August 24, 2024) On Thursday evening, a man was killed after a horrific hit-and-run crash on Sierra Highway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened at about 8:48 p.m. on Sierra Highway, north of Cerro Gordo Street.

Officials say that an older model sedan was involved in hitting and killing a man in Mojave, officials say that the driver of the vehicle continued driving away.

Authorities are searching for the suspect driver and vehicle who remains at large.

CHP is investigating the deadly hit-and-run crash and have not released additional information at this time.
