Tragic Hit-and-Run Crash on Hitch Boulevard Kills 1 [Moorpark, CA]

Moorpark, CA (June 27, 2024) On Sunday evening, a child was possibly killed after a tragic hit-and-run crash on Hitch Boulevard.

According to the CHP, the hit-and-run collision happened around 11:11 p.m. east of Hitch Boulevard on Los Angeles Avenue.

Reports say that the vehicle fatally struck a person, possibly a child, riding a kids razor scooter.

Authorities say that the driver fled the scene, leaving the body of the victim approximately 40 feet on the roadway beside the scooter.

Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene, meanwhile, officials were able to locate the suspect driver and made a full arrest.

CHP Moorpark Division is investigating the incident.
