Tragic Hit-and-Run Crash on Elkhorn Boulevard Kills Pedestrian [North Highlands, CA]

North Highlands, CA (January 27, 2024) On Thursday evening, a horrific hit-and-run crash on Elkhorn Boulevard claimed the life of a pedestrian.

According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the fatal pedestrian crash happened at about 9:30 p.m. on Elkhorn Boulevard at Walerga Road.

Reports say that a car fatally struck a person crossing the street in the crosswalk, and the car fled the scene without stopping to render aid to the fallen victim.

The CHP is investigating the fatal crash, the victim is described as a woman in her 40s, however, her identity has not been revealed at this time.
