TULARE COUNTY, CA (September 19, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a tragic hit-and-run crash on Avenue 252 near Road 216 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. on Avenue 252, east of Road 216.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

As a result, paramedics pronounced the 43-year-old male victim, dead at the scene.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
