Tragic High-Speed Crash on Mill Hill Road Kills 1 [Franklin County, MO]

Franklin County, MO (December 10, 2024) On Sunday evening, a deadly high-speed crash on Mill Hill Road resulted in fatality and injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the deadly incident happened at about 11:12 p.m. east of Bethel Church Road.

Reports say that the deadly crash occurred on December 8, 2024, at 11:12 p.m. on Mill Hill Road, east of Bethel Church Road in Franklin County, Missouri.

Authorities say that a 2008 Mazda 6, driven at an unsafe speed on a wet, curved roadway, lost control, sliding across the centerline and leaving the roadway. The car overturned in a cornfield, ejecting both occupants.

The driver, a 32-year-old Robertsville man, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS at 11:40 p.m. His remains were transported to the St. Louis County Morgue.

The passenger, a 20-year-old woman, also from Robertsville, suffered serious injuries. She was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by St. Clair EMS for treatment. Authorities noted she was not wearing a seatbelt.

The vehicle was severely damaged and was towed away from the scene. The crash remains under investigation with assistance from the Major Crash Investigation Unit.
