TRAVIS COUNTY, TX (September 3, 2023) – Saturday morning, a tragic head-on crash on East State Highway 71 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 2:46 a.m. at the 4600 block of East State Highway 71.

According to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, two unidentified vehicles collided for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, officers confirmed that one person died in the crash. Then, paramedics transported one person to a hospital with serious injuries.

Furthermore, the crash blocked East State Highway 71, but has long since reopened.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
