2 People Dead in Tucson Auto Accident near East Camino Miraval and North Campbell Avenue

TUCSON, AZ (October 9, 2024) – Sunday night, a tragic head-on crash near East Camino Miraval and North Campbell Avenue killed two people.

Reports said that the incident happened around 10:45 p.m. near East Camino Miraval and North Campbell Avenue.

According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, a southbound 1996 Honda Prelude traveling at a high rate of speed, crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2013 Ford Fusion.

Moreover, responders pronounced two passengers of the Honda, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the Honda to a hospital with serious injuries. Also, no occupants of the Ford were injured in the incident.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the PCSD continued to investigate the crash.
