Tragic Car-Pole Collision on Kingman Avenue Kills 2 Injures 3 [Kingman, AZ]

Kingman, AZ (April 15, 2023) On Friday evening, a car-pole collision on Kingman Avenue left 2 teen girls dead and 3 others injured.

Authorities say that the fatal solo-vehicle accident happened at about 10 p.m. on Kingman Avenue, just off Route 66.

Reports say that a Dodge sedan driven by a 16-year-old boy slid sideways and struck 2 electric poles. The impact of the crash led the vehicle to roll over multiple times and ended up on its roof.

Officials say that 2 boys and 2 girls were ejected off the vehicle, while the driver was trapped inside the wreck. First responders helped extricate the driver out of the vehicle.

Medics pronounced a 17-year-old girl dead at the scene, while all other occupants of the Dodge were transported to the hospital. At the hospital, another 15-year-old girl was pronounced dead. Officials say that the driver and the 2 other male passengers were airlifted to a Las Vegas hospital.

Police are investigating the car-pole collision accident and believe that speed may be a factor in the crash.
