HOUSTON, TX (April 17, 2024) – Monday night, a tragic bicycle crash on Highway 28 and Calume Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. on Highway 28 and Calume Street.

According to reports, an 18-wheeler almost hit a bicyclist who was attempting to cross the main lanes. Then, the bicyclist swerved to avoid the collision, fell off the bicycle, and was struck by three other vehicles.

Moreover, responders pronounced the bicyclist, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported two drivers to a hospital with minor injuries.
