CHP Arrests DUI Driver in Fatal Traffic Crash Near the Saint Stephens
Orinda, CA (August 11, 2024) On Saturday morning, a motorcycle rider died after a tragic 2-vehicle crash on SR24.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), that the fatal traffic crash happened at about 12:05 a.m. on SR24 near the Saint Stephens offramp.
Reports say that teh collision happened between a Honda SUV and a motorcycle.
Officials say that driver of the Honda was driving impaired at the time of teh collision, authorities say that the rider and their vehicle ended up blocking the second lane, with excess debris reported in the middle lanes.
Authorities arrested the driver of the Honda under suspicion of a felony DUI. Meanwhile, the motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
