DPS Investigates Fatal Collision on State Highway 71
Bastrop County, TX (February 29, 2024) On Tuesday evening, a person was pronounced dead after a horrific 2-vehicle crash on Highway 71.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal collision happened at about 11:25 p.m. near the intersection of State Highway 71 and Enchanted Cove.
Officials say that 2 vehicles collided in the area, authorities pronounced a person dead at the scene, while DPS did not say if anyone else was injured.
Authorities are investigating the fatal 2-vehicle collision and have not released additional details at this time.
