Lake Stevens, WA (August 22, 2023) On Sunday evening, a woman lost her life after a 2-vehicle collision on Vernon Road.
According to the Lake Stevens Police Department, the fatal DUI crash happened at about 9:05 p.m. on the 1110 block of Vernon Road.
Reports say that a northbound vehicle crossed the center line into the opposite lane and crashed into a pickup truck.
Officials say that a woman suffered fatal injuries and a man and another woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are investigating the fatal crash and police suspect intoxication was a factor in the incident, and criminal charges are pending.
