Tragic 2-Vehicle Collision on Spotted Road Kills Motorcyclist [Marshall, WA]

Marshall, WA (September 5, 2024) On Monday afternoon, a motorcyclist died and 2 other people were hurt in a 2-vehicle collision on Spotted Road.

According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash happened at the intersection of South Spotted Road and West Melville Road.

Reports say that a motorcycle and a Nissan Sentra were involved in the collision.

Authorities say that the southbound Nissan attempted to left on West Melville Road across the northbound lane in front of the motorcycle rider.

Officials say that the rider tried to hit the breaks to avoid colliding with the Nissan, but the collision still happened and the motorcyclist hit the passenger’s side of the Nissan.

Rescuers attempted to save the riders life and rushed the man to the hospital, where the rider was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, the occupants of the Nissan, a female driver and a passenger suffered minor injuries.

Authorities are investigating the fatal crash and cited that failure to yield the right of way appeared to be a contributing factor in the crash.
