Lanes Blocked after Newhall Car Accident on Highway 14

 
NEWHALL, CA (July 9, 2020) – Late Wednesday morning, a two-vehicle crash on Highway 14 stalled southbound commuter traffic.
 
The CHP officers responded to the two-vehicle traffic collision at about 9:45 a.m.
 
The crash occurred on southbound Highway 14, near the Newhall Avenue onramp, said Officer Peter Nicholson of the CHP Traffic Management Office.
 
“It was reported as the HOV lane blocked with two vehicles,” Nicholson revealed. “As of 9:48 a.m., officers were holding lanes temporarily.”
 
The incident also blocked the HOV lane and No. 1 lane. Furthermore, the incident snarled traffic just before 10:00 a.m.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities did not issue any SigAlert. Also, the collision didn’t lead to any injuries, said Nicholson and Marvin Lim, a spokesman for the L.A. County Fire Department.
