Traffic Backup Caused by Seattle Train Collision
SEATTLE, WA (December 27, 2019) – A truck and train collision stalled traffic on Airport Way on December 18.
Emergency crews came to the train and package delivery truck. The Seattle Fire Department revealed that a train and a UPS truck crashed in the 5500 block of Airport Way South around 8:00 p.m. The truck and train collided at low speed.
Meanwhile, a power pole got caught in the middle of the crash. Unfortunately, power lines are knocked down after the crash.
The truck driver managed to go out of the vehicle. Moreover, the train engineer also went off the train. No one sustained injuries.
The incident blocked the traffic around Airport Way South and South Lucile Street. The fire department advised drivers to use alternate routes while crews worked at the scene.
