Negligent Driving Causes Vehicle Crash on SR-18 That Injures 2 People
King County, WA (August 29, 2023) On Monday morning, a WSDOT worker and a motorist were hurt after a traffic crash on State Route 18.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the vehicle crash happened around 6 a.m. on the second lane of westbound SR 18, west of State Route 167.
Officials say that a WSDOT worker was hit by a Nissan Frontier pickup truck on Highway 18.
Reports say that the worker was on the scene to assist the driver of a stalled Nissan Altima who was having car trouble.

Medics say that the Nissan’s 65-year-old male driver suffered injuries and was transported to Valley Medical Center. Meanwhile, the WSDOT worker sustained injuries and was taken to St. Frances Hospital.
Fortunately, the female driver of the Nissan escaped injuries.
Officials say that the Nissan driver may be charged with negligent driving.
