2 Firefighters Hurt in Horrific Hit-and-Run Crash on Lakeland Drive
Dallas, TX (March 26, 2024) Early Monday morning, 3 people, including 2 Dallas Fire-Rescue first responders were hurt in a traffic crash on Hunnicut Road.
According to Dallas police, the hit-and-run crash happened at the intersection of Hunnicut Road and Lakeland Drive around 12:20 a.m.
Reports say that firefighters were helping a driver who lost control on the wet pavement, and crashed into a utility pole and flipped his car over.
Additionally, as officials were working the scene, another vehicle crashed with the back of the minivan, pinning a man between the two vehicles.
Medics rushed the injured victim to the hospital, officials say that the collision caused 2 firefighters to suffer injuries as well.
Meanwhile, 2 people inside the car that struck the minivan fled on foot. Dallas police are searching for both suspects who remain at large.
Authorities are investigating the horrific hit-and-run crash and have not released additional information at this time.
