Horrific Traffic Crash on Highway 88 Kills 1 Injures 3 [Amador County, CA]

Amador County, CA (April 20, 2024) On Friday evening, a horrific traffic crash on Highway 88 killed a person and left 3 people injured.

According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), the deadly collision happened at about 6 p.m. on Highway 88 and Silver Drive in Pioneer.

Amador Firefighters responded to the scene.

CHP says that a person was pronounced dead at the scene, while a patient was airlifted, and 2 others were taken to the hospital via ground ambulance.

Officials say that the fatal crash closed both directions of the highway.

Authorities are investigating the deadly collision and have not released additional information at this time.
