5 People Hurt in Kansas City Auto Accident on Blue Ridge Boulevard
KANSAS CITY, MO (July 17, 2024) – Monday night, a crippling traffic crash on Blue Ridge Boulevard injured five people.
The incident happened at around 5:15 p.m. on Blue Ridge Boulevard.
According to the Kansas City Police Department, a southbound Chevrolet Suburban that was traveling at a high rate of speed collided with a Honda Ridgeline pickup that was stopped to make a turn. Reports added that the Suburban continued traveling over the median and collided with two traffic signals before it came to rest.
Moreover, responders transported the driver and a boy from the Suburban, both with critical injuries and three other children from the Suburban with non-life-threatening injuries, to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the Honda was not hurt in the collision.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Kansas City Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
