CHP Investigates 3-Vehicle Collision on State Route 4 in Murphys
Murphys, CA (September 27, 2024) – The California Highway Patrol reported a minor traffic collision on State Route 4 involving three vehicles.
A minor traffic collision occurred on State Route 4 eastbound, near Northwood Drive, at approximately 12:31 PM.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) report, the incident involved three vehicles, including a red Ford F-150, a black Ford F-350, and a silver Toyota Camry.
Initial reports indicated that both lanes were blocked as a result of the collision.
At 12:32 PM, emergency services were alerted, and it was reported that the driver of the Toyota Camry had sustained minor injuries but was able to drive the vehicle.
The collision was initially classified as a more severe traffic incident but was later downgraded to a minor injury accident.
By 12:39 PM, the roadway was reopened, and no transport was required for any of the individuals involved.
Tow services were requested but later canceled, as the vehicles were able to be moved from the scene without assistance.
Emergency personnel cleared the scene, and no further complications were reported. The situation was fully resolved by 1:54 PM, with no significant disruptions to traffic flow.
