Violent Traffic Collision on Highway 190 Results in Injury [Buckholts, TX]

Buckholts Police Officer Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident on Cemetery Road

Buckholts, TX (October 5, 2024) On Friday morning, a Buckholts police officer sustained minor injuries in a violent traffic collision on Highway 190.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at 7:07 a.m. at the intersection of US Highway 190 and Cemetery Road.

Reports say that a 32-year-old man was driving a 2021 Dodge Charger westbound on Highway 36 when a 47-year-old woman from Buckholts failed to yield the right of way while driving a 2023 Mitsubishi SUV southbound on Cemetery Road.

The Mitsubishi entered the Charger’s path, leading to a collision that caused the Mitsubishi to roll onto its side.

Officials say that the officer in the Charger suffered a minor hand injury, which was being evaluated. Emergency medical personnel assessed the woman and two children in the Mitsubishi at the scene, and they were released shortly thereafter.

The investigation into the traffic collision on Highway 190 remains ongoing.
