Disastrous Traffic Accident on Highway 371 Kills Pedestrian [Anza, CA]

Anza, CA (June 16, 2023) On Thursday afternoon, a person walking the road was killed in a traffic accident on Highway 371.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the deadly auto-pedestrian collision happened around 2:35 p.m. at the junction of the two-lane corridor and Highway 79.

Reports say that a Ford F-150 pickup truck fatally struck an unidentified pedestrian.

The Riverside County Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead at the scene shortly before 3 p.m.

Authorities say that the pickup driver escaped injuries and stayed at the scene.

CHP is investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian collision and have not released further details at this time.
