Loaded Semitruck Rolls Over at Sumner Intersection
SUMNER, WA (June 5, 2019) – A loaded tractor-trailer rig sustained damage in a rollover crash on 142nd Avenue East, Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Sumner Police Department, the incident happened at about 2:15 PM. A semitruck was northbound with a load of dry goods when it rolled over and landed on its side near the 24th Street East curve.
The driver of the semitruck did not suffer injuries and cooperated with investigators. Emergency crews temporarily shut down affected areas to get the big rig back in an upright position. It is unknown whether or not the loaded goods sustained damage.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
