1 Dead in Pacific County Auto Accident on US Highway 101
PACIFIC COUNTY, WA (March 25, 2024) – Saturday morning, Tracey Koonrad died in a horrific single-vehicle crash on US Highway 101.
The incident happened at around 12:10 a.m. on U.S. Highway 101 in Pacific County.
Officers confirmed that 38-year-old Koonrad died and two children were seriously injured.
Moreover, reports said that the woman and children were headed south on U.S. Highway 101 in Pacific County. As the woman drove too fast for conditions, she lost control of the car. Then, she crossed the northbound lanes, entered a ditch, and crashed into a tree.
As a result, Koonrad of South Bend died at the scene. Moreover, two children, ages 11 and 9, sustained injuries and were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
