Four Injured in Crash on Highway 152
Los Baños, CA (February 26, 2022) – On Friday, a Toyota passenger sustained fatal injuries in a Highway 152 rear-end crash.
The fatal incident took place at about 12:52 p.m. near Cozzi Avenue.
A 2004 Toyota Sequoia driver rear-ended a 2012 Honda Accord while traveling westbound on the freeway.
As a result, the Honda collided into the center divide while the Toyota rested off the side of the highway and into an empty irrigation ditch.
Reports say that there were seven occupants in the Toyota.
One of the Toyota’s male passengers was thrown from the vehicle. Unfortunately, they died at the scene.
Also, two other Toyota passengers sustained major injuries. The paramedics rushed them to Modesto-area hospital.
The Toyota driver incurred minor injuries. Rescuers rushed the driver to Los Banos Memorial Hospital.
Meanwhile, three other passengers from the Toyota left the scene.
The emergency responders rushed the Honda’s female driver to an area hospital with minor injuries.
“Right now we’re looking into a possible medical emergency suffered by the driver of the Toyota,” an officer said.
The authorities don’t believe alcohol or drugs was a factor in the fatal incident.
