Minor Injuries Reported in Highway 99 Semi-Truck Crash
Chico, CA (March 04, 2022) On Wednesday afternoon, a woman was injured after a big-rig collision on Highway 99.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that the woman’s Toyota RAV4 collided with a semi-truck around 2 p.m. on Highway 99.
Moreover, the accident happened after both vehicles merged into each other.
Reports are not yet verified if one of the vehicles was merging onto the freeway from Eaton Road.
Furthermore, the Toyota crashed into a fence on the back of Almond Tree Mini Storage.
Meanwhile, the female driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries.
Officials say a friend picked up the female driver and chose not to be taken by a responder to a hospital.
Additionally, the truck driver did not sustain injuries.
Authorities say that the Chico crash backed traffic up for a time.
Aim high in steering, i.e. don’t make your steering adjustments based on what is directly in front of you, but rather what is down the road.
If the road is winding to the right, for example, look as far into the turn as possible. This will improve your safety and make your turns smoother.
