Man Dies in Harris County Vehicle Crash
Harris County, TX (February 14, 2024) – A tow truck driver sustained fatal injuries following a Northwest Freeway collision Tuesday night.
Houston TranStar said the fatal collision unfolded in the eastbound lanes of the freeway inside Beltway 8.
According to the investigating officers, the tow truck driver was out of his truck loading another vehicle when another vehicle struck him.
The paramedics rushed the tow truck driver who was in fair condition to a hospital. However, while he was being transported, his condition deteriorated and became in critical condition.
He was later declared deceased.
Meanwhile, the other driver stayed at the scene and didn’t show any signs of DUI.
Troopers are investigating.
