82-Year-Old Tomas Gonzales Dead after Auto-Pedestrian Hit-And-Run Crash on 43rd Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (April 3, 2023) – Monday morning, 82-year-old Tomas Gonzales died in a crash on 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road.

The fatal hit-and-run crash on 43rd Avenue in Phoenix happened on March 31.

Phoenix Police said Gonzalez was crossing Thomas Road when he was struck by a black passenger vehicle heading eastbound.

However, the vehicle immediately took off. Witnesses said a second white vehicle was involved, but it’s unknown if they also struck Gonzalez.

Detectives are investigating the crash, and it’s unclear if any arrests have been made.
