Toddlers Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on East Buckingham Way [Fresno, CA]

Fresno, CA (August 19, 2023) – On Friday, toddlers, ages 1 and 2, were injured following a hit-and-run crash on East Buckingham Way.

CHP officers responded to the crash scene minutes before 4 p.m. in the area of North Van Ness Boulevard.

Spokesman Mike Salas said a female pedestrian was pushing the stroller with her two boys, west on Buckingham Way.

As she started to cross Van Ness Boulevard, a westbound gray sedan turned north onto Van Ness Boulevard. The sedan hit the stroller as it started moving from a stop at a slow speed. 

The vehicle knocked over the stroller and the children who were buckled in and incurred minor scrapes and bumps. 

The man who was driving the sedan fled after the crash scene. 

Moreover, the authorities asked anyone with further details about this incident to call CHP at 559-262-0400.
