1 Dead in Fresno County Pedestrian Accident at Lost Lake Recreation Area
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (April 10, 2022) – Saturday night, a toddler died in a pedestrian crash at Lost Lake Recreation Area near Friant.
The incident happened at around 6:40 p.m. at Lost Recreation Area. According to reports, a truck hit a 2-year-old boy who had walked out into the road.
Reports said that the crash happened while the parents of the boy packed up their vehicle to leave the park.
After the crash, the driver stopped and contacted 911 for help. Then, the driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.
Meanwhile, officers ruled out drugs or alcohol as factors in the crash.
Moreover, Deputies from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to help. Then, they shut down the entrance to the park as the California Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
