20-Month-Old Baby Struck and Injured in Collision near Nash Avenue
MENLO PARK, CA (August 27, 2018) – A toddler was critically injured Monday evening after a pedestrian accident on Willow Road. The young victim was just 20 months old.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the tragic accident took place around 6:30 PM in the 200 block of Willow Road, near Nash Avenue.
The toddler was reportedly riding a toy car when he was struck by his 26-year-old relative who was backing his gray Ford Fusion in a private driveway, about 30 feet from the roadway.
The child was immediately taken to the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford for treatment and evaluation. He was listed in a critical condition, but was expected to survive. There is no update on his current medical condition at this time.
The driver cooperated with investigators, and it is not believed that drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the case.
