Todd Tyson of De Soto Dies in Highway 67 Rear-End Crash [Jefferson County, MO]

Jefferson County, MO (October 19, 2024) – Todd Tyson, 44, of De Soto, was killed in a Highway 76 rear-end crash before Thursday noon.

It was before 11:15 a.m. when the deadly two-vehicle crash happened at Meyer Road.

According to investigators, Tyson was driving a 2006 Toyota Corolla behind a northbound 2022 Subaru Ascent driven by 71-year-old Gerald Feuling of Pearland.

Investigators said both drivers did not keep a proper lookout for the traffic signal.

As a result, Feuling stopped for a red light but his vehicle slid into the intersection and Tyson’s vehicle rear-ended the Subaru.

Tyson was transported to Mercy Hospital in Jefferson County where he died. The accident report noted he was not wearing a seat belt.

Tyson’s passenger, Cristia Cheatham, 28 and also of De Soto, was seriously injured. She is was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.

Feuling sustained minor injuries, while his passenger, Catherine Feuling, 75, was seriously injured. They were both wearing seat belts.
