Tito Mendez Dies, Simon Mendoza Involved in Grant County Car Crash
Grant County, WA (September 12, 2020) – On Wednesday, 59-year-old Tito Mendez of Othello lost his life in a vehicle crash on Highway 28.
The Washington State Patrol said the fatal accident took place at about 7 p.m. between Quincy and Ephrata.
Apparently, Mendez failed to yield the right of way when he pulled his 2002 Nissan Maxima coming from Road K Northwest into the way of a Ford F-150 pickup that was traveling eastbound.
Immediately, the rescuers took Mendez to Quincy Valley Medical Center where he died.
Meanwhile, the Ford F-150 pickup driver, 45-year-old Simon Mendoza of Ephrata suffered minor injuries. Paramedics gave him medical treatment at the scene.
