Florentino Lopez Involved in Horrific Traffic Collision on Hollister Avenue

Santa Barbara County, CA (March 2, 2024) On Tuesday evening, 68-year-old Timothy Raymond Hain of Santa Barbara was seriously hurt after a pedestrian crash on Hollister Avenue.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the traffic collision happened at about 6 p.m. on Hollister Avenue at Auhay Drive.

Reports say that an eastbound Oldsmobile sedan, driven by 78-year-old Florentino Lopez of Santa Barbara, struck Hain who was in a crosswalk, headed north.

AMR Medics rushed Hain to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with critical injuries. Meanwhile, Lopez escaped injuries.

CHP is investigating the traumatic pedestrian crash and has not released further information at this time.
