Timothy McDaniels and 3 Others Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 5 [Colusa County, CA]

Colusa County, CA (August 23, 2022) On Monday morning, 57-year-old Timothy McDaniels of Vacaville and others died following a wrong-way head-on crash on Interstate 5.

It was about 12:48 a.m. when the I-5 head-on crash took place south of Fairview Road near the Maxwell rest area.

CHP says that the fatalities include, 24-year-old Celeste Gonzales of Maxwell, 28-year-old Quincy Lovelace, and 34-year-old Christopher Martinez both of Suisun City.

Reports say that a northbound 2012 Nissan Altima collided with a southbound 2022 Nissan Altima in the same lane. Gonzales was driving the wrong-way vehicle.

Meanwhile, 52-year-old David McDaniels of Suisun City survived the collision, paramedics transported him to Enloe Medical Center with major injuries via air ambulance.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the I-5 head-on crash.
