Pedestrian Timothy Fesmire Sr. Killed in Yuba County Train Accident
YUBA COUNTY, CA (February 10, 2019) – A man was killed late Sunday morning following a pedestrian accident near Highway 70 and East 24th Street. The victim was later identified as 51-year-old Timothy Fesmire Sr.
According to the Marysville Police Department, the incident happened at about 11:30 AM. Due to unknown circumstances at this time, the man was struck by a Union Pacific train on the tracks just west of Highway 70.
Fesmire Sr. suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
Fesmire Sr’s city of residence was not immediately known.
Union Pacific is assisting the Marysville Police Department to determine the cause of the fatal collision and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to cooperate with investigators as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
