Scooter Rider Tim Miller Dies in Oildale Accident
KERN COUNTY, CA (October 15, 2020) – Tuesday night, Tim Dale Miller, 63, suffered fatal injuries in a scooter crash on Roberts Lane in Oildale.
According to CHP, an electric scooter traveled in the bike lane on Roberts Lane, east of Central avenue. However, the victim suddenly moved into the street in the path of a Honda.
As a result, the Honda’s male driver struck the back of the scooter.
Paramedics rushed the scooter driver, a resident of Bakersfield, to a hospital from sustaining major injuries.
Meanwhile, the male Honda driver suffered no injuries, and remained at the scene where he struck Mr. Miller.
Authorities do not believe that drugs and alcohol played a role in the crash.
