Police Investigate Fatal Crash on El Oso Road in Tonto Basin
Tonto Basin, AZ (March 22, 2022) – Saturday morning, 36-year-old Tiffany Ann Nelson and 35-year-old Joshua Cory Hanes, both from Mesa, died in a solo vehicle crash on El Oso Road in Tonto Basin.
The fatal solo vehicle crash in Tonto Basin happened at around 10:30 a.m.on March 19.
The Gila County Sheriff’s Office said the vehicle appeared to have gone off the road and rolled down a 250-foot embankment.
The two occupants Nelson and Hanes sustained fatal injuries.
Police continue to investigate further the circumstances leading to the deadly El Oso Road crash.
