2 Drivers Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Crash on Sonoma Highway Near Sonoma Botanical Garden

Glen Ellen, CA (July 10, 2021) – A crash on Sonoma Highway involving three vehicles left two people injured on Thursday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on July 8 near the Sonoma Botanical Garden at about 2:20 p.m.

A silver Ford Ranger pickup, a USPS mail truck, and an orange Honda Civic sedan were reportedly involved in the collision. Medics transported two of the drivers to a nearby hospital after complaining of pain due to the crash.

However, reports said that the victims did not have serious injuries.

Furthermore, a witness identified as Denise Cordoni of Sonoma, said that she saw the Honda had serious damage in its front end. Later, a USPS spokesman also confirmed that the mail truck had damage to its front and side.

Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Trinity Road

The collision prompted the diversion of traffic from Sonoma to Arnold Drive. By 4 p.m., vehicles towing services were able to pull the vehicles off the road. Then, the road reopened again for the traffic.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Driving can be very dangerous and almost anything can happen if you are not prepared. It is important to always drive within the posted speed limit. Moreover, slow down if you see traffic stalling ahead to avoid hitting other vehicles.
