Three Seriously Injured in Crash on Highway 52 [San Diego, CA]

Two Vehicles Involved in Collision near Santo Road

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 26, 2020) – Authorities reported that three people were seriously injured in a crash on Highway 52 early Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Highway 52 near the Santo Road exit around 1:00 AM.
 
Reports indicate that two cars traveling west collided just before the Santo Road exit. However, the cause of the accident was not yet known.
 
Both drivers and a passenger of one of the cars were trapped inside the vehicles upon officers arrival. All of them were taken to hospitals for further treatment of serious injuries.
 
The left lanes of the highway were closed for about an hour while rescue and clearing operations took place.
