3 Hospitalized after Two-Vehicle Crash near Camino Santa Fe
SORRENTO VALLEY, CA (October 27, 2018) – Three people were injured early Saturday morning following a suspected DUI crash on Mira Mesa Boulevard. The identities of the victims were not disclosed to the public.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident took place at about 4:00 AM near Camino Santa Fe. A 2010 Toyota Venza, driven by a 74-year-old man, was heading west on Mira Mesa when it crashed into a northbound 2015 Ford Escape.
The Toyota driver and his 64-year-old wife were transported to a hospital after suffering internal injuries and fractures. Meanwhile, the 33-year-old man driving the Ford was also hospitalized with facial lacerations. Further updates on their current medical conditions were not immediately provided.
Authorities suspect that alcohol played a role in the collision. However, they did not specify which driver they believed to be under the influence at the time of the crash. Additional information will be released following the conclusion of the investigation.
