Hit-and-Run Driver Strikes and Injures Three People near Robinson Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 14, 2018) – Three people were injured Friday evening following a hit-and-run collision on East Truxtun Avenue.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident took place shortly after 10:00 PM in the 1200 block of East Truxtun Avenue, between Robinson Street and Miller Street. Three pedestrians were walking outside of a crosswalk when they were struck by a white Nissan pickup truck.
Two of the pedestrians sustained major injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation. Meanwhile, the third victim suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. Officials said they are searching for a white 2000s model Nissan Frontier King Cab with moderate to major front-end and right passenger side damage.
